The New Maye Babo Series

The New Maye Babo Series is New Generation's rebuilt isiZulu First Additional Language programme for the Foundation Phase, Grades 1 to 3. It is sold as a full classroom package rather than a single textbook: a teacher's guide (Incwadi Kathisha), a core reader (Incwadi Yokufunda Okungumongo), a shared-reading anthology (Incwadi Yokufunda Ngokuhlanganyela), a set of 40 graded and levelled readers, a set of eight big books, grapheme and phonics flashcards, vocabulary flashcards, poster packs and the Uvemvane handwriting books in print and cursive.
