About the Authors
Fanie Viljoen is one of the most loved and diverse writers in Afrikaans children's and YA literature. He was awarded twice with the Sanlam Prize for Youth Literature, as well as the M.E.R. Prize.
He has also won numerous ATKV Children's Book Awards. His young adult novels Offers vir die vlieë (2019) and Ons laaste legendariese somer (2023) won the LAPA Youth Novel Competition.José Palmer and Reinette Lombard have years of experience teaching children who struggle with reading and spelling.
