About the Authors
With years of experience in teaching children who have difficulties with reading, spelling, and learning, José Palmer and Reinette Lombard teamed up with Gugu Nkosi and Ntokozo Mkize-Mthembu for this isiZulu series. Ntokozo Mkhize-Mthembu is a lecturer at UKZN where she completed her doctoral studies specialising in Teacher Development Studies.José Palmer and Reinette Lombard have years of experience teaching children who struggle with reading and spelling. The LEER MY LEES / LEARN TO READ series with its colourful illustrations is not only fun to read, but also promotes vocabulary and comprehension.Dedré van Wyngaard is the founder of WriteAbility. She is also an occupational therapist, educational
consultant, and part-time lecturer at the University of Stellenbosch (Department of
Occupational Therapy). She holds a master’s degree in occupational therapy and
has more than 22 years of experience in early childhood development. She has
worked in private practice, special education and public-school environments. She
is particularly passionate about early intervention and has a special interest in
paediatrics, sensory integration and ADHD.
