Kliek Klaskamer is the KLIEK package for the Senior Phase: the printed workbook together with access to the KLIEK online course. KLIEK is Macmillan's blended Afrikaans First Additional Language course for Grades 6 to 12, aligned to both CAPS and the IEB. Every topic in the printed workbook is supported and enhanced online by interactive exercises, games, animations and tests, so the class works through the same content on paper and on the portal.
KLIEK does not replace the teacher: it lets teacher and learner blend traditional teaching with technology, and the teacher decides when and how the digital components are used in class and at home.

Self-paced learning: a learner who falls behind in class can carry on at home at his or her own pace, and learners earn awards for participation and progress.

The teacher follows each learner's progress on the portal, and the KLIEK reporting suite shows class-wide trends to adapt teaching to the class's needs.

Exam papers, tests, listening tests for every grade and memorandums are on the teacher platform for the teacher's exclusive use.

Runs on a computer, tablet or smartphone with an internet connection (2 Mbps) or mobile data (LTE or 4G).

The programme licence is valid for two years; every user registers and sets his or her own password.
