About the Authors
José Palmer and Reinette Lombard have years of experience teaching children who struggle with reading and spelling. The LEER MY LEES / LEARN TO READ series with its colourful illustrations is not only fun to read, but also promotes vocabulary and comprehension.With years of experience in teaching children who have difficulties with reading, spelling, and learning, José Palmer and Reinette Lombard teamed up with Gugu Nkosi and Ntokozo Mkize-Mthembu for this isiZulu series.
Ntokozo Mkhize-Mthembu is a lecturer at UKZN where she completed her doctoral studies specialising in Teacher Development Studies.
About the Illustrator
Zinelda McDonald is an award-winning South African illustrator who lives in Wellington in the Western Cape of South Africa. She has illustrated numerous children’s books and is also a well-known designer and illustrator of children’s book covers.
Awards for her work include the Alba Bouwer Prize and the Exclusive Books IBBY SA Award.
