Zelda Bezuidenhout is in Zambië gebore, maar het op Hennenman in die Vrystaat grootgeword. Ná skool het sy B.A. Kommunikasiekunde aan die P.U. vir C.H.O. (deesdae Noordwes Universiteit) gaan swot en aan die einde van haar vierde jaar was sy een van twaalf nagraadse studente landwyd wat gekies is vir ’n reklame-internskap by die AAA (Association of Advertising Agencies). Zelda het vir ‘n tweede keer as naaswenner in LAPA se jeugromankompetisie van 2023 bekroon gewees met haar hierdie jeugroman, “Quinn se jaar van kwik”. Sy het in 2018 gedebuteer met haar eerste jeugroman, “As mens geluk kon proe”.
