Bored Bill
Author: Liz Pichon
Format: Paperback
Bill is bored. Not just a bit bored but really really bored. His owner Mrs Pickle is never bored. She’s always busy reading, gardening, cooking or doing kung fu. But Bill finds it all very dull. Until one windy day, everything changes . . .
Full of bold, wacky humour and animated illustrations, Liz Pichon takes us along a space adventure that pulls Bill out of his snooze-fest against all odds! A laugh-out-loud celebration of imagination and silliness, and a reminder that excitement can be found in the most ordinary of places.
Perfect for fans of Jon Klassen’s I Want My Hat Back, Rob Biddulph’s Blown Away, or Liz’s very own bestselling Tom Gates series, this story is bound to make you think twice before ever moaning to your friends or parents, ‘I’m bored’!
About the Author
Liz Pichon is the bestselling British author and illustrator behind the multi-award-winning Tom Gates series of children's books, which have sold over 16 million copies worldwide. Her distinctive style, which combines text with a high volume of doodles and illustrations in a diary format, was influenced by her own experiences with undiagnosed dyslexia and a desire to create engaging books for reluctant readers. Before becoming a celebrated author and illustrator, Liz worked as an art director in the music industry. The success of her first Tom Gates book in 2011, which won the Roald Dahl Funny Prize and the Waterstones Children's Book Prize, launched a global phenomenon that has since been adapted into an animated television series and a stage show.
