Penpals for Handwriting is a complete handwriting scheme for 3-11 year olds.

Penpals for Handwriting Foundation 1: Interactive uses activities which support direct teaching of the unit focus to the whole class using an interactive whiteboard.

Each screen is divided into Penpals gym (gross and fine motor skill warm up videos) Teach (animated pattern formation for perfect modelling) and Practice (sky writing and tracing patterns to help children with pencil flow).

Each year includes: Gross and fine motor skill warm up clips to get children physically prepared for writing Pattern, letter formation and joins animated for perfect modelling.

You can also pause animation if required. Kinaesthetic practice with sky writing and tracing patterns to help children with pencil flow A gallery featuring samples of children’s mark-making and handwriting for discussion with your class.

The Foundation 1 Interactive introduces patterns and mark-making in the classroom and supports modelling and interactive learning for the whole class.

It includes exciting lesson warm-ups and physical activities to develop and refine gross and fine motor skills, along with plenty of free-flow and scaffolded mark-making practice on the interactive whiteboard.
